St Michael the Archangel Parish Golden Jubilee
Celebrations
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of St Michael
the Archangel Parish, we invite our parishioners
and parish family to save the following dates as
we look forward to 5 days of Jubilee events this
September.
Jubilee Masses
Saturday 26th September at 5.00pm
Sunday 27th September at 11.00am
These special Jubilee Masses will be followed by
refreshments in the Parish Hall.
Jubilee Parish Mission
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 28th & 30th
September at 7.00pm, with Mass each evening.
We are delighted to welcome Michelle Moran as
our Jubilee Mission speaker.
Michelle Moran is an internationally renowned
Catholic speaker, evangelist and co-founder of
the Sion Community.
Michelle will also share with our school pupils
and staff over those 3 days encouraging them in
their faith journey.
Further events will take place throughout our
Jubilee Year, including a pilgrimage to St
Patrick’s Country in Downpatrick next year. Details of these and other celebrations will be
announced in due course.
Please keep these dates free and join us as we
give thanks for 50 years of parish life and look
forward with hope to the future!

Celebration of Mass and Blessing with Holy
Relic

Pioneer Gathering – Sunday 27 September
A meeting for all Pioneers who are interested in
helping to renew and strengthen the Pioneer
Association in Down & Connor will take place on
Sunday 27 September at 3.00 pm in Holy
Family Gathering Space, Holy Family Church,
Newington Avenue, Belfast.
This gathering is open to all Pioneers, especially
those who would like to support a fresh start,
new energy, and renewed commitment within
our diocese. We would be delighted to welcome
as many Pioneers as possible.
St Genevieve's High School is celebrating its
60th anniversary this year, and as part of our
celebrations we are delighted to be staging our
school production of The Sound of Music this
October. Monday 19th October - Wednesday
21st October at 7pm Please support if you can.

Beginning Experience is a peer ministry to the
bereaved, separated and divorced, based within
the Family Ministry of the Diocese of Down and
Connor. We are offering a support programme
over three Saturdays from September through
to November. The loss of a partner through
death, separation or divorce is devastating.
Beginning Experience is offering a programme of
bereavement support in St Bride’s Hall,
Derryvolgie Ave., Belfast on three Saturdays
(26th September 24th October and 21st
November) Booking essential.

Catholic Men’s Retreat - Standing in the Breach
A Catholic Men’s Retreat will take place at
Portglenone Monastery on Saturday 19
September 2026, from 9am to 1pm .
The theme of the retreat is “It is no longer I who
live, but Christ who lives in me” (Galatians
2:20).
The morning will include prayer, teaching,
fellowship and men’s testimonies, with Fr Eddie
McGee as keynote speaker.
