Bingo makes a welcome return on Thursday 17th September at 8.30pm,
every 2 weeks in the Marian Hall, Kilrea.
In today's gospel Jesus teaches a powerful lesson o n forgiveness.
We pray for the men called to priesthood that, as t hey celebrate
the Sacrament of ReconciliaƟon with their people, t hey will help
them to know and experience the Lord who ".is com passion and
love, slow to anger, and rich in mercy." (Responsor ial Psalm).
Next weekend, as we prepare to welcome Bishop Micha el
Router among us, we will pray God's blessing on him in a
parƟcular way at each of our weekend Masses.
Once again we wish Bishop Dónal McKeown a very happ y and
fruiƞul reƟrement. No doubt he will remain very acƟ ve as he
offers his services to Bishop Router, and to the pri ests and people of the diocese in
whatever ways he can.
Our new bishop was a priest of the diocese of Kilmo re and, for the last seven
years, has served as Auxiliary Bishop in Armagh. He comes among us as a stranger,
yes, but also as a pastor. He asks us all to be paƟ ent as he gets to know us and as
we get to know him.
We pray that his Ɵme among us in this diocese of De rry will see a great renewal of
faith as we "walk together" (the meaning of Synodal ity) in the footsteps of all the
faithful bishops, priests, religious, and people wh o have gone before us.
Please pray for Bishop Michael Router as he prepare s to begin his pastoral
ministry among us. The Mass of InstallaƟon will tak e place in St Eugene's
Cathedral, Derry, next Sunday, at 3pm. Each parish is asked to send five mem‐
bers to the ceremony. InvitaƟons for parishioners from both Bellaghy and
Greenlough can be collected from the parish office at Bellaghy.

Anyone interested in promoƟng EucharisƟc AdoraƟon i n the parishes of Bellaghy
and Greenlough is invited to aƩend a meeƟng in the Drummond Hotel, Ballykelly,
BT49 9HP, on Wednesday 30 September, from 8 -9pm (RegistraƟon will take place
from 7:30pm).
Both Bishop McKeown and Bishop Router are happy to promote EucharisƟc
AdoraƟon throughout the diocese as a means of bring ing people to Jesus in the
Blessed Sacrament, to foster vocaƟons, and to encou rage prayer for vocaƟons.
We are already blessed to have weekly AdoraƟon in o ur parishes - in Greenlough
on Thursdays, and in Bellaghy on Fridays. Now, perh aps, would be a good Ɵme to
invite and encourage more people to pray before Jes us in the Eucharist which He
has leŌ us as ".the source and the summit of our faith." (Second VaƟcan Council). BapƟsm Dates — September to December 2026.

24 October, 28 November, 19 December. The Columban Young Adults are a new group for those aged 18 - 30 in the
diocese, who are seeking a community of like -minded young adults who have
Christ at the centre of their lives.
Our September event will be a Holy Hour and meditaƟ on Thursday 17
September, 7:00pm at our Lady of Lourdes Church, St eelstown, Derry, delivered by
Fr Declan McGeehan. The meditaƟon will be followed by Solemn BenedicƟo n and
light refreshments.
We are acƟvely seeking new members - please come along and bring a friend!
