Jesus teaches that we must forgive one another as God has

VOCATIONS In today's gospel Jesus teaches a powerful
lesson on forgiveness. We pray for the men called to
priesthood that, as they celebrate the Sacrament of
Reconciliation with their people, they will help them to k now
and experience the Lord who ".is compassion and love, slow

Our all-age social club, The Tuesday Club ,
returns on Tuesday 15th September from 2–4pm.
Join us for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon with
a range of activities, including cards, bingo,
Scrabble and other board games, knitting and
crochet, or simply a chance to enjoy a chat and
make new friends. Everyone is very welcome.
Cost is €5, including afternoon tea.
We have lots of great courses coming up for the
autumn including Spanish conversation and
culture, beauty therapy, plumbing and heating,
phone photography, creative painting, guitar
lessons, tablet and smartphone for beginners,
creative crafts, digital skills for farmers and

FORGIVENESS - Readiness to forgive is taught by many of
the great philosophies and religions of the world. Why?
Because you can’t be happy, or have any sort of inn er peace,
far less inner joy, if you refuse to forgive. Dwell ing on past
hurts, nurturing resentment, indulging simmering an ger:
these things can blight or embitter a person’s whol e life.
Unfortunately though, as all of us know: sometimes
forgiveness can seem very difficult indeed, even im possible.
Perhaps this is so nowadays more than ever, because
contemporary secular culture encourages us to think of
ourselves as victims, who have a right to demand
compensation and redress.
What though if we find it too hard? What if my brot her
really hurts or upsets me, and ever continues to do so? What if
I have been so deeply wounded by someone that my li fe is
effectively ruined? In that case, let us simply adm it the
impossibility of our task, and turn to God for help . O God
come to my aid, we cry. ‘Lord, help me to let go of this. If I
can’t forgive, then do you forgive in my place. Bles s us both,
Lord, so that each of us is able to receive the gift of your
forgiveness.’
We pray, we go to confession, and we come to Mass. Here
the love and mercy of Jesus that flows from his sac rificial
death are made present, and received in sacramental form.
Here supremely we find the grace and strength we ne ed, in
order to let go of the debt we are owed: we, who ha ve been
redeemed from our own incomparably greater debt, th rough
the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.

compassionate volunteer drivers to join our pool
of drivers. As a volunteer driver you would be
bringing patients undergoing chemotherapy to the
hospital and back home for their treatment.
Gifting your time means that cancer patients will
have comfortable (one on one) transport to attend
appointments for their lifesaving treatment. If you
can spare 2 days per month, have a valid driving
licence, and a safe, reliable vehicle, you are the
perfect candidate to make a significant difference.
The Irish Cancer Society will provide you with
training before you start as a driver for us. Your
generosity not only eases the journey for many
during a challenging time but also offers comfort
and support when it's needed most. For more info

offered for Bishop Michael, All are welcome to attend as we
come together as God’s people to pray for Bishop Router
and the people of the diocese, that we may walk together in
