VOCATIONS
In today's gospel Jesus teaches a powerful lesson on for-
giveness. We pray for the men called to priesthood that,
as they celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation with
their people, they will help them to know and experi-
ence the Lord who ".is compassion and love, slow to
anger, and rich in mercy." (Responsorial Psalm).
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION:
Derry Diocese is renewing and developing its Diocesan
Adoration Lay Committee in order to increase the prac-
tice of Eucharistic Adoration in parishes throughout the
diocese. You are welcome to attend an Information
Meeting on Wed 30 Sept at 8pm, in The Drummond Ho-
tel, 2 Main St., Ballykelly, BT49 9HP. Reg. from 7:30pm

COELIAC HOSTS
The Parish has purchased a new pyx for coeliac hosts which clips onto the main ciborium keepin g the coeliac hosts separate from other
hosts. This weekend we will start to use this pyx. The priest / Eucharistic minister will change hands when distributing from it, so that there
will be no transfer of fragments from the other hosts. People who are coeliacs are now invi ted to receive Holy Communion like the whole
congregation and the table in the sanctuary area will be removed. Thank you for your continued support.

A new group aged 18 - 30 in the diocese, are seeking a community of like -minded young adults who have Christ at the centre of their
lives. Our September event will be a Holy Hour and meditation on Thurs Sept 17 at 7pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown, Derry,

CONTINUOUS PRAYER FOR MARRIAGE & FAMILY LIFE – Monday September 14
The theme of this input is praying for Married People who are alone because of separatio n and/or divorce. As we pray we also need to
think about them and have a real feel for the trauma that this must be for so many p eople today. We also need to pray about a nd think
about the responsibility that we as a faith community have for people in these circumstances so they do not have to go through it alone.

Triduum of Masses for Bishop Michael Router:
As the diocese and parishes prepare to celebrate the joy-
ous occasion of the Installation of Bishop Michael Router
as Bishop of Derry on Sunday September 20, a Triduum
of Masses will be celebrated in parishes throughout the
diocese, on Friday 18, Saturday 19 and Sunday
20 September. In our parish these Masses will be cele-
brated in St Michael ’s Church on Sunday September 20 at
10am and St Mary ’s Church at 11:30am. All are welcome
to attend as we come together as God ’s people to pray
for Bishop Router and the people of the diocese, that we
may walk together in faith and hope, guided by the Holy
Spirit.
Prayer:
God of holiness, we give you thanks for this diocese, the
church that is in Derry.
We recall with gratitude all who handed on the gift of
faith in past generations, in difÏcult times and in troubled
years down to the present day.
We look forward with hope as we walk together in faith
with our new Bishop, Michael, under the guidance of the
Holy Spirit, along the synodal path to which the church is
now being called.
We pray that we may become more faithful disciples of
Jesus and joyful witnesses to his Gospel for the genera-
tions of young people who follow after us in all the par-
ishes of our diocese.
