Mass in St. Peter’s & St. Paul’s, Foreglen. Your p resence would be very welcome and would
add to the celebration of our Sunday Masses. If yo u would like to help our church community

Prayer for Vocations: In today's Gospel, Jesus teaches a powerful lesson on forgiveness.
We pray for the men called to priesthood that, as t hey celebrate the Sacrament of
Reconciliation with their people, they will help th em to know and experience the Lord who
‘is compassion and love, slow to anger, and rich in mercy’ (Responsorial Psalm).

The Columban Young Adults is a new group for those aged 18-30 in the diocese who
are seeking a community of like-minded young adults who have Christ at the centre of their
lives. Our September event will be a Holy Hour and meditation on Thursday 17th September
at 7.00pm at our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown , Derry, delivered by Fr. Declan
McGeehan. The meditation will be followed by Solem n Benediction and light refreshments.
We are actively seeking new members. Please come a long and bring a friend.
Queen’s University Catholic Chaplaincy reopens for the new academic year on Monday
14th September with weekday Masses and our semester pro gramme resuming. The first
Sunday Mass will be celebrated on 20th September at the new, earlier time of 7.00pm.

Donegal Group 173 Rise and Shine Trust (formerly The Irish Handicapped Children's
Pilgrimage Trust and The Irish Pilgrimage Trust) is celebrating 40 years of taking young
people with special needs to Lourdes each Easter. We are celebrating with a special Mass
on Saturday 26th September in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Lett erkenny, Co. Donegal at
12 noon. The Mass will be concelebrated by Bishop Niall Coll and Bishop Donal McKeown
and many of the priests who travelled to Lourdes wi th us over the years. We invite all the
guests and their families and all the helpers who t ravelled with us over the years to our
Mass to celebrate Our Lady of Lourdes.
Eucharistic Adoration: Derry Diocese is renewing and developing its Dioce san Adoration
Lay Committee in order to increase the practice of Eucharistic Adoration in parishes
throughout the diocese. You are welcome to attend an Information Meeting on Wednesday
30th September at 8.00pm in The Drummond Hotel, 2 Main Street, Ballykelly, BT49 9HP.

Irish Classes will be starting up again on Wednesday 23rd September in Craigbane Parish
Hall (Slieveboy Road) from 7.30 - 9.00pm. There wi ll be 3 classes – a complete beginner
class, a returner class and an intermediate class. Learners benefit from becoming part of a
learning community, making new friends and having a regular place to come and speak Gaelic.
