Reflection: What Are We Living From?
We cannot go through life without being hurt. People disappoint us, misunderstand us, sometimes treat us
badly. Forgiveness does not mean pretending that these things do not matter, nor does it mean that every
damaged relationship can simply be restored. But there is another question worth asking: what do w e allow
our hurts to do to us? What happens within us eventually reaches other people. Hurt can travel through us.
Resentment can travel through us. Someone else’s bitterness can slowly become our bitte rness too. But
mercy can travel through us as well. None of us has made our life entirely by ourselves. We have rec eived
love we did not earn, patience we did not deserve, opportunities we could not have created, fau lts that others
chose to overlook. Above all, we live within the mercy of God. The challenge is to rem ember not only what
has been done to us, but also what has been done for us. Sooner or later, one or the other will pass through
us into the lives of others.

Enniskillen VSOSJ Branch: will run a bus to Knock Shrine on Wednesday 7th October, the Feast of Our
Lady of the Rosary. Early booking is adviseable. To reserve a bus seat, contact Adrian Brophy (07817

at 8.30am sharp.
The Season of Creation: 1st Sept – 4th Oct is the annual Christian celebration to pray and respond together
to the cry of Creation: This year, we will unite around the theme “Living Water”, inspired by E zekiel 47:9 -
a powerful biblical vision of hope and ecological healing. Set amid exile and loss, the ima ge of living water
flowing from God’s sanctuary reveals divine healing that renews land, water, biodivers ity, and human
responsibility towards the whole creation.
Church of the Immaculate Conception 200th Anniversary: We will mark this significant milestone with
a Celebration Mass on Sunday 4th October at the 11.00am. We would appreciate if you had any old photos,
memories or recollections to share. Photographs can be scanned and returned to the owner.
Keep Free: Charity Auction on Saturday 26th September 2026 - St Mary’s Community Centre at 1.00pm.
We are looking for good household and farm items for sale i.e. turf, sticks, furniture, animals, farm items,
also cakes and tray bakes. We can also sell your unwanted items for a minimal fee, c ontact Ciaran on
