Our Horticultural Show takes place on Sunday
13th September in The Market Hall, Glenties and
there’s a category for everyone!
Photography, Crafts, Flower Displays, Baking,
Vegetables & Farm Produce, Kids Art Showcase
Awards for the best in each category!
Entries: €2 per entry, Children’s entries are FREE

Poultry and Carboot sale will be held in The
Railway Inn’s car park , Fintown on Sunday 13th

Congratulations to Teresa Molloy,
Fintown on winning €1, 110 in the August
50/50 draw. Thank you to all who
contributed to the draw. Next draw takes
place on Friday 25th September.

churches and in local businesses or from

Aged 65 or over?
The free flu vaccine will be available in Glenties
Primary Care Centre on Friday 25th September
from 10am – 12:30pm for those aged 65 year or
over ONLY. No appointment is necessary for this
clinic however you must be registered with
Dr Evelyn McManus or Dr Cooke to avail.
If you are registered with another GP Practice,
please contact them directly. The Flu vaccine is
available to all aged 65 and older. If you are
aged between 18-64yrs, please note that we will
be running a separate clinic in the coming weeks
for you as stock of vaccines are made available
to us. Those aged between 18-64 years are
eligible for the free flu vaccine if one of the
following applies: You have a chronic heart
condition, liver disease, chronic kidney disease,
Diabetes, chronic respiratory disease including
Asthma, COPD, Multiple Sclerosis, Down
Syndrome or, if you are a carer to somebody
with a condition listed above. Any queries,

There will be a clearance sale of gifts,
bric-a-brac and lots more on Saturday, 10
October in St Mary’s Hall, Convoy from 11am to
3pm. All are welcome. All proceeds are to help
Mary's Meals feed more children.
Due to the Harvest Fair Day falling on
a Saturday this year, there will no
Vigil Mass at 6pm on
Saturday 12th September in
St Connell’s Church, Glenties.
For those wishing to avail of Vigil Mass,
the Vigil Mass in Fintown, as usual, will
take place at 7:30pm on that evening.
A meeting of the Fintown Hall
Committee will take place in Fintown
Hall on Wednesday 16th September at
8:30pm. A good attendance would be
appreciated.
Note Re: Baptisms normally take place at 2pm on
Saturday. In order to bring cohesion,
should a family book a Baptism of their child
on a Saturday in any particular Church then
all subsequent Baptisms on that day will
take place in the same Church.
