DOWN & CONNOR DIOCESAN RETREAT
The priests of the Diocese of Down and Connor will
be on retreat for a few days this week. The retreat will
be held in Dromantine Retreat Centre outside
Newry. Please keep all the priests of the Diocese in
your prayers. Please note there will be NO MASS in
Portrush on Monday or Tuesday of this week.

The next meeting of committee is Wed 16th Sept at
7pm in Marian Hall, Portstewart. All members are
asked to attend. ANGELS AND SAINTS PROGRAMME PORTRUSH
We’re all familiar with angels and saints in our Liturgy,
private prayers and in Scripture. Fr. Paddy invites you to
attend a short programme exploring the wider importance
of ‘Angels and Saints’ in our faith, based around the book
of the same title. (Cost £11.99)

November – 6 weeks from 7pm- 8.30pm in St. Patrick’s Hall,

HEALTHY AND SMART CHILDREN FOUNDATION
Dr Christian will be making an appeal for his charity at
Masses in Portrush and Ballymoney this weekend. Fund
raising for the GOD'S GIFT OF SIGHT project, to provide
free cataract surgeries for 100 blind people and 3,000
pairs of glasses for poor people in churches and
communities in Nigeria.

BLESSING OF ANIMALS
Once again, our Family of Parishes will be marking the
Church's Season of Creation with a blessing of pets and
animals. This year the blessing takes place in the grounds
of Our Lady & St Patrick's in Ballymoney on Sunday
27th September at 2pm. All welcome to attend.
We are blessed to be able to offer two opportunities to
our parish community to honour Our Blessed Mother
Mary. Parishioners are warmly invited to join either
pilgrimage, depending on what suits your schedule and
spiritual needs. Both are beautiful opportunities to enjoy
time away from the noise and busyness of our lives and
immerse ourselves into a day of prayer and reflection.
ST COLUM’S PRIMARY SCHOOL OPENING OF YEAR MASS
The Opening of the School Year Mass for St.
Colum’s Primary School will be held in St.
Mary’s, Star of the Sea Church, Portstewart on
Friday 18th September at 10.30am. Family, friends and
parishioners are all invited to join us.
