BLESSING OF PETS
Once again we will be marking the Season of Creation with a
blessing of animals inspired by the ministry of St Francis of
Assisi. Our pets and animals remind us of the beauty and
diversity God has given us in the natural world. This year
the blessing service takes place here in Ballymoney in the
grounds of the church on Sunday 27th September at 2pm .
All welcome to attend and bring along your animals to be
blessed.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL
Our parish SVP conference is here to support our local
community, and we do this in the strictest conÞdence. If you
are in need and would like our help please do not hesitate to

The Society of St Vincent de Paul,
Ballymoney, are hosting their annual
outing for senior citizens and those
living alone on Sunday 20th September.
This year's event will offer a shopping trip followed by an
evening meal. Transport is being organised for those
wishing to attend with number limited to 48. Anyone with
mobility issues please speak to a member of SVP prior to
the event. A donation of £5 per person would be greatly
appreciated.
Anyone interested in attending should call the SVP number
(07860 455 549 ) and leave their name and contact number, or
speak to an SVP representative. Final numbers for the trip
required by 13th September. Bus will leave carpark
opposite the church at 1pm sharp and return after 6-30pm.
MENÕS RETREAT
A Catholic menÕs retreat will take place at Portglenone
Monastery on Saturday 19th September , from 9am to 1pm .
The theme of the retreat is ÒIt is no longer I who live, but
Christ who lives in meÓ (Galatians 2:20). The morning will
include prayer, teaching, fellowship and menÕs testimonies,
with Fr Eddie McGee as keynote speaker. All men are very

CAUSEWAY PARISHES PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK
There will be a pilgrimage to Knock Shrine for our
Causeway Family of Parishes on Saturday 3rd October led
by Fr Kevin McGuckien . The bus will make pickups from
Portrush, Portstewart, Coleraine and Ballymoney leaving at
approximately 7am and returning around 10.30pm. The
cost is £35 for adults and £10 for children . You can book a

Twenty Fourth Sunday of Ordinary Time
FORGIVENESS WITHOUT LIMIT
In todayÕs Gospel, Jesus continues last week's teaching on conßict with the parable
of the unforgiving servant. A king forgives a servant an unpayable debt (worth
billions in today's money) only for that servant to refuse mercy to a colleague who
owes him a much smaller sum. The king's anger reveals the lesson: having received
such extraordinary mercy, the servant should have shown it in turn.
We too are debtors before God, and Christ has already paid what we could never
repay. But receiving that gift means extending it to others Ñ even when forgiveness
feels impossible. If weÕre Christians we have to be serious about seeking forgiveness
and forgiving others. Confession deepens our experience of God's mercy; practising
forgiveness in small daily moments builds the habit for harder ones.

The Legion of Mary Annual Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will
take place on Sunday 27th September . A coach will leave
Dunloy Parish Centre at 7am, returning by 9.30pm.

JOB OPPORTUNITY
Dunloy & Cloughmills Parish are seeking to recruit into the
part-time role of Caretaker . This role will include:
¥Ensure the Parish buildings, including the Parish Hall, are
opened and closed at the appropriate times and maintained to
the highest standard.
¥Providing a reliable and efÞcient cleaning service to ensure
that all public areas of the Parish are maintained to a high
standard of cleanliness and are welcoming to users and visitors
at all times.
¥Ensure the parish grounds are maintained, safe and secure for
all who use them.
The terms are based on a permanent part-time appointment
requiring 20 hours per week, over Monday to Sunday Ð work
pattern to be agreed with the Parish Priest. Availability to
work ßexible hours is required from the post holder, including
evenings, weekends and occasional anti-social hours.
Rate of Pay - £12.71 gross per hour. Full details relating to the
