Music Ministry. Welcome back to Michaela and the choir at
11am Mass. Music is an essential part of our parish liturgies,
and our choirs help us to praise and worship God. Both choirs
welcome new members. From October, our Saturday Night
Choir will practice every other Tuesday evening after Mass and
sing at every other Saturday evening Mass. Our Sunday
Community Choir will initially return once or twice a month at
the 11am Mass on a Sunday, with a practice just before Mass.
We urgently require another person, musician or group to lead
our music during alternate Saturday evening or Sunday
morning Masses. This is a paid role and may suit someone
who is studying music and has an interest in religious music.

Growing In Faith Together Programme. Monday 14th Sep
2026 in Aghagallon Community Centre from 7.30pm-9pm for
Year 8’s .
Children’s Liturgy . Welcome back to all of the children and
the leaders of Children’s Liturgy.
Sacramental Preparation for Children in Non-Catholic
Schools. Faith development is primarily the responsibility of
parents. However, in Aghagallon and Ballinderry parish we try
to emphasise the partnership between home, school and
Church. If you choose to send your child to a non-Catholic
school and would like to present them for First Penance (P3),
First Holy Communion (P4) or Confirmation (P7) in the
parish this year they must be prepared appropriately. Please
contact their teacher to ensure that they are part of a
catechetical programme and enrol them in children’s liturgy in
the parish. If schools do not provide sacramental preparation,
the parish can assist with providing classes. Please contact
Catherine in the parish office to collect an application form.
MINISTRY OF WELCOME
Booking Masses, Baptisms and Weddings As parish office opening hours have been reduced
slightly, we are returning to our previous practice of booking Masses, baptis ms and weddings in
person, in the sacristy after Masses.
Masses can be booked well in advance to ensure your preferred dates ar e available.
Baptisms can only be booked by the child’s parent or legal guardian. At least o ne month’s notice is
required. To book a baptism parents must present the child’s long birth certificate , complete the
baptism request form, meet with one of our Baptism team and attend weekly Mass during the
month prior to the date of the Baptism
Weddings can be booked by the couple themselves. Couples are require d to give at least six
months’ notice of marriage to ensure the preferred date is available and that there is adequate time
to complete all Civil and Church paperwork.
