Weekday Masses

Tuesday – Friday at 9.00 am . Adoration Monday, Rosary at 9am, followed
by Adoration to 1pm; Wednesday 2 – 8pm
Second Collection this weekend is for Priesthood Education.
Envelopes for Autumn dues are now available in the porches and in your box of weekly
envelopes.
Young at Heart meet every Thursday at 2.30pm in the hall. The aim of the club is to arrange
social events, educational options and activities which help members to remai n active
within their community. New members are always welcome.
Young at Heart are planning a day trip to Youghal, Tallow, Dungarvan and The Vee Pass o n
23rd September. Enquiries to Eileen Hayes and Helen Ryan.
Church Cleaning Team Volunteers are needed to help keep the church looking beautiful. If
you can help, please contact Sheila (087-9917534) or Jo (087-2078332). If you can
spare some time just a couple of times a year (roughly every 6 - 7 months), thi s
would be much appreciated. Many hands make light work!

KnitÝng Group will return each Monday evening at Patsy’s house, starting on 28th
September. Everyone welcome.
Kilbrittain Foróige Club returns after the summer break on Thursday September 24th at
8.00PM in the Community Hall, with registration of existing and new members of sec ondary
school age. Note that registration is taking place on a Thursday night, but reg ular club
meetings will resume on Friday nights.
As places are limited, we ask all those interested in joining the club for the coming year to
attend on the night. A Parent/Guardian must attend on the night with you r child.
We would very much welcome any new leaders who might be interested in jo ining us to
come along on the night. We are particularly appealing to any potential male leade rs who
may be willing help out to join us that night.

Stations The tradition of hosting a Station Mass has existed in Ireland for many years, wi th
its roots in Penal times, when Mass was forbidden - it was the Mass that was import ant, not
where it was celebrated. On the occasion of a Station Mass, a family opens their home for
Mass to be celebrated for a townland or group of townlands. Many of us have mem ories of
having the stations in our homes in the past – it is a beautiful tradition. If anyone would like
to host a Station at any stage during the year, please contact Fr Pontianu s.
New Parish Assembly Nomination forms for the next session of our Parish Assembly are
available in the church now. Nominations should be returned by next Sun day, 20th
September in the boxes in the church porches. Nominations can also b e submitted online
through the Parish Assembly website.
